Homecoming holds a special place in the hearts of OSU alumni, family and friends.
It could be time spent pomping with classmates or meeting up with old friends during Walkaround. It could be claiming your spot along the parade route in the early morning or coming home to campus with your newest family member and continuing the OSU legacy.
No matter what your favorite part about Homecoming is, we are all here for America’s Greatest Homecoming.
It is vital we all step up by giving to the Homecoming and Student Programs Endowment to continue this great tradition so new memories can be created by future OSU generations.
Timeless Tradition
For over a century, the OSU Alumni Association has presented America’s Greatest Homecoming. The timeless tradition held each October involves students from all areas of campus life and draws more than 80,000 alumni and friends back home to campus. From the first Harvest Carnival to the Walkaround experience and Sea of Orange Parade held today, OSU’s Homecoming brings out the brightest orange spirit and is a tradition to which no other university can lay claim.
How You Can Help
The Homecoming and Student Programs Endowment calls upon our alumni and friends to support these programs and preserve their traditions. It will ensure rising costs do not diminish our annual events and will guarantee future generations of OSU students will benefit from the same experiences as those who have gone before them.
The Investment
The endowment will be fully funded at $3 million with giving levels of $5,000 or more earning a spot on the permanent display in Legacy Hall in the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center. All who donate at least $100 will be recognized on the Alumni Association website.
In 2014, we surpassed the $1 million mark of the endowment, which will allow the Alumni Association to begin distributing endowment funds to each living group for Homecoming. As additional funds are raised toward our $3 million goal, the amount of additional support to each living group will increase.
Get Involved
There are several easy ways to support Homecoming. Gifts to the annual Homecoming fund will support events and activities for the next event only. Gifts to the Homecoming and Student Programs Endowment will be used to support future events and ensure long-term success.
