Student Alumni Board (SAB) is sponsored by the OSU Alumni Association. This select group of OSU students is chosen for excellence in scholarship, leadership, community service, OSU pride and for genuine interest in assisting the Alumni Association in its activities. SAB is known as OSU's premier campus leadership organization.

What are the perks of being on Student Alumni Board? back to top
Members of SAB are able to take on an active role as ambassadors for the university; working with alumni as well as prospective students. SAB members are also able to meet and network with alumni through various activities. SAB members often go on to serve the Alumni Association in volunteer leadership roles.
Who is eligible for membership in the OSU Student Alumni Board? back to top
Any full-time undergraduate student who maintains a 2.5 GPA is eligible for membership. Applications should show evidence of campus participation and leadership. Student Alumni Board is committed to representing the university and therefore consists of students with a wide range of backgrounds, majors and interests. Student Membership in the Alumni Association (STAT) is required. (STAT Applications are available at the Alumni. Cost is $15 a year.) Center

Applications will be made availble in November. You can come to the SAB office in the Conoco-Phillips or check this website for an application. Check back and bookmark this webpage in the future for updates. Alumni Center
What is the selection process like? back to top
The SAB student executive committee and the SAB advisor review all applications. References may be contacted to discuss applicant's qualifications. As many as 75 applicants will be called back for interviews. Those invited back will be notified by phone. Names of those to be interviewd will also be listed in Society Squares and posted at the Alumni. Any applicant being called back for interviews should go to the Alumni to sign up for an interview time as soon as possible after being notified. Center Center
Interviews will be 15 minuites long and conducted in groups of three applicants at a time. The interview panel consists of members of the SAB student executive committee, the SAB advisor or other Alumni Association staff members. Questions may be taken from your applicatoin or may be related to your knowledge of the work and activities of the Student Alumni Board and the OSU Alumni Association.
The judging panel is looking for students with strong scholarship, proven or emerging leadership qualitiesand the desire to place SAB as a priority among campus activities.
