2008 Student Alumni Board Leadership Conference

The Oklahoma State University Alumni Association invites you to nominate your students to attend the 2007 Leadership Conference, "Record-Setting Leadership." We are excited about the opportunity to honor your students’ accomplishments and continue to build their leadership skills.

The conference is an experience offered to 10 of your school’s most outstanding sophomores, and 10 exceptional juniors. The conference will be held Saturday, February 23rd, 2008, on the Oklahoma State University campus in Stillwater, Oklahoma. 

The Student Alumni Board Conference is planned and executed by Oklahoma State University’s top leaders.  The purpose of the conference is to provide an opportunity for interaction between student leaders across the state as well as develop individual skills.  Activities include a variety of student-led workshops focusing on:

·         Leadership

·         Teamwork

·         Conflict/Resolution

·         Goal setting

·         Personality

·         OSU college experience

These sessions will be interactive, educational, and informative. Students will be sent back to school

energized with new ideas and an increased awareness of their strengths. In addition to the student-led

workshops, the conference will feature Bill Cordes, a renowned keynote speaker. Bill Cordes combines

humor with life experiences to create a fun, high energy, laughter-packed, and creative program. 

Included in your packets are informational brochures about the conference. Please make copies, and

distribute to your nominees.  The conference will cost $30 per delegate, which includes the day’s

activities, lunch and a conference T-shirt.  

After you have selected your student leaders, please mail registration forms to us as a group or allow

your students to mail them individually.  You may also email the information to

students by calling (405) 744-5410. Please see that SAB receives the student nominations by

Friday, January 11th, 2008.
