OSU-Okmulgee Renovates Center

The recently renovated Oklahoma State University-Okmulgee Grady W. Clack Student Success Center, named after a long-time educator at the university, will be officially dedicated at a ceremony on Thursday, November 29 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The dedication ceremony will be held in the Clack Center at the college’s main entrance on the east side, and community members are invited.

Soccer Team Falls in NCAA

LOS ANGELES — Oklahoma State’s season came to an end in the second round of the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship Sunday afternoon as top-ranked UCLA defeated the Cowgirls, 4-0, at Drake Stadium.

The loss marks the second-straight season OSU has fallen in the NCAA tourney’s second round. The Cowgirls end the season 14-6-3, with their 14 wins the third-most in program history.

The Bedlam Bash is sponsored by the Student Union Activities Board and will feature a pep-rally and bonfire to burn the ceremonial Sooner Schooner.

Cowboys Bowl Eligible

The Cowboys secured their bowl eligibility Saturday night with a 45-14 win over the Baylor Bears in Waco, Texas.

 

OSU is 6-5 with the win and bowl eligible for the fifth time in six years. OSU has never made five bowl trips in any six-year span in school history.

College of Education Receives $5 Million Planned Gift from the Frank and Carol Morsani Foundation

The Oklahoma State University College of Education (COE) announced a $5 million planned gift from the Frank and Carol Morsani Foundation Friday. Longtime supporters and the first million dollar donors to the COE, the Morsanis helped kick off the College’s 2007-08 campaign, “Planting the Seeds: Growing Future Professionals” during a 3:30 p.m. announcement and reception.

“We sincerely thank Frank and Carol Morsani for this wonderful gift and commend them for their years of support to Oklahoma State University,” said interim OSU System CEO and President Marlene Strathe. “They continue to make a true difference in the lives of our students and faculty.”
