That's up more than 80 percent from the year before, according to OSU Licensing Director Judy Barnard. OSU General Counsel Charles Drake says the amount represents a landmark, which he attributes to the success of OSU's athletic teams. He notes that both the university's general scholarship fund and the athletic department continue to benefit from the increased revenues. The athletic department has received a little more than $1 million in the last three years, and the general scholarship fund received $570,438 over the same period.

Reputation Beef Marketing Seeking Chief Executive Officer
Monday, August 02, 2004 (161 reads)

Opportunity Profile CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER United Cattle Company, LLC dba: Reputation Beef Marketing Location To Be Determined COMPANY OVERVIEW Reputation Beef Marketing is a start-up enterprise with a mission to transform the beef cattle industry by extending the reach of private treaty transactions beyond the limits of local markets. The Company was founded by experienced cattlemen who understand the difficulties faced by today¡¦s producers. The founders believe that producers can be best served by providing them with an efficient means to share their management practices and herds to an increasingly selective buyer pool throughout the country. The Company will deploy knowledgeable Field Agents who will exclusively serve the needs of the producer¡Xa first for the industry. These Field Agents will work with the producers to employ, then present the herd management practices that yield the best value for the producer. Buyers, on the other hand, demand more reliable and consistent information regarding the quality of cattle they are buying. The Company will encourage the capture of extensive life-cycle information about the cattle and make this information available to buyers in order to build trust in the relationship. The Company is not an internet or video auction cattle marketing firm. Rather, the Company will utilize innovative technology to share comprehensive information about the producers and their cattle to a buying community whose requirements will be known in order to reduce transactional risk and yield fair pricing. The Company will facilitate transactions from the ranch/farm, thereby minimizing losses and maximizing value to all parties. It is called Private Treaty Without BoundariesTM.
