OSU Launches "How Orange Are You?" Campaign

Showcasing the spirit of the Oklahoma State University faithful who create ‘seas of orange’ wherever they gather, the university is launching an athletics marketing campaign that challenges Cowboy fans to answer, “How Orange Are You?”

“The question ’How Orange Are You?’ is a challenge to our fans that I feel they will have no problem exceeding,” said OSU System CEO and President David J. Schmidly. “They are proud of their university and this campaign celebrates their role in our success.”

Parking Lots Near Football Stadium to Close

Effective June 5, OSU Parking and Transit Services will be closing lots 10, 10A, and 11 located west of Boone Pickens Stadium.  The lots are being closed as the university begins the work to bowl the west end zone, creating a 60,000-seat, fan-friendly stadium that will offer a game-day experience second to none.

OSU Expansion a billion dollar benefit to Stillwater

Oklahoma State University generates $1.2 billion annually in the local economy—about half of Stillwater’s total economic activity--and planned expansion projects will have an additional impact of $220 million annually over the next six years.
           
Those are among the findings of an independent research project conducted by Austin, Texas-based Angelou Economics. The project was sponsored by the Stillwater Foundation for Progress, a non-profit educational affiliate of the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Oklahoma State University.

Bus routes for summer

THE BUS Community Transit System has modified service for the summer. The on-campus Black and Orange routes will not run this summer; however, from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Gold route, which is normally a night route, will be running its normal schedule on-campus.  Evening route service will resume on August 21.  The bus’ community routes will not be affected by this reduction in service and will continue to run their normal routes and schedules. Check The Bus’ website for Memorial Day and 4th of July route information as these holidays approach. OSU-OKC Farmers’ Market Downtown Grand Opening Scheduled

In celebration of its newest location in downtown Oklahoma City, the OSU-OKC Farmers’ Market is inviting downtown to “break bread,” on Wednesday, May 17, 9:45 a.m., in Couch Park, located between Broadway and Robinson at Robert S. Kerr, adjacent to Kerr Park. 
 
The ceremony is the official grand opening recognition of the OSU-OKC Farmers’ Market downtown location.  A result of a partnership between OSU-OKC and Downtown Oklahoma City, Inc., the market is open Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., through September 13 in Couch Park

Young Students to be Challenged to “Mission Possible”

Two Tulsa educational institutions are challenging local middle and high school students to a mission.

Oklahoma State University-Tulsa and Tulsa Community College will sponsor “Mission Possible,” a free career exploration workshop for students ages 12 to 19, on May 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The workshop will take place in OSU-Tulsa’s Conference Center.

Plan Ahead for Saturday's Commencement

If you are planning to come to commencement on Saturday, May 6, you'll need a ticket and you'll need to plan to come early.  It has been announced that graduating seniors must now pick up tickets – 8 per graduate – this week at the Student Union. The general public can pick up tickets, free of charge, Thursday and Friday at the Student Union Atrium and Saturday at Boone-Pickens Stadium. For additional ticket information, click here.

Camp Cowboy Scholarships Available

If you know an OSU legacy who lives in Oklahoma and is planning to attend Camp Cowboy this summer your OSU Alumni Association wants to provide a scholarship to get them there.  The Alumni Association is offering $150 Camp Cowboy scholarships to all OSU legacies (Oklahoma residents only)– students whose parent or grandparent is an active OSU Alumni Association member.
