Student team places first in Love's Cup

Oklahoma State University student startup team VisionaRx made OSU history earlier this month by winning the grand prize in the Undergraduate High Growth Division at the Love’s Cup in Oklahoma City. Read more.

 

Tiffany Thurmond wins the Raymond D. Thomas Award

Tiffany Thurmond, a marketing and business management major from Edmond, Okla., is the recipient of the prestigious 2017 Raymond D. Thomas Award, given annually to the top senior in the Spears School of Business. Read more.

 

Spears Student Spotlight: Chance Imhoff

Chance Imhoff is a 5th generation farmer from Prague, Okla. Growing up, he was very active in FFA and 4H, so Oklahoma State, being a land grant university, was always an attractive option for him. “I’ve always known I wanted to come to OSU." Read more.


Student team MITO wins over $135K in competitions

MITO Material Solutions is a startup team created by OSU students Haley Kurtz and Kevin Keith. They placed second at each of the Oregon New Venture Championships ($11K), the Rice Business Competition ($90K), and the Baylor Business Competition ($35K).


Spears Student Spotlight: Paulina Medrano

Paulina Medrano made the move to the United States from Mexico when she was three years old and has been bleeding orange ever since. She grew up in Enid, Okla., with two younger siblings and spent most of her time volunteering for the soup kitchen at her church.

Three Spears graduate students were recently honored during the OSU Graduate College’s Graduate Education Week. Siddharth Suresh, master’s student in telecommunications management, was the first-place winner in the President’s Fellows’ Three Minute Challenge (3MC). Read more.

 

CHSI receives $500,000 to expand ROK-Net program

Oklahoma State University’s Center for Health Systems Innovation (CHSI) was awarded $500,000 from The Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation to expand the Rural Oklahoma Network (ROK-Net). The program joins nearly 200 research networks in efforts to improve health care across the nation. Read more.
